ATTO Technology FastFrameTM 10GbE Nominated for Storage Awards Connectivity Product of the Year
Amherst, NY, May 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- ATTO Technology, Inc., today announced the ATTO FastFrameTM 10GbE Network Interface Card (NIC) has been named a “Connectivity Product of the Year” finalist for the Storries IX Storage Awards 2012 presented by Storage Magazine. This marks the second year in a row that an ATTO product has been recognized as a Storage Awards finalist. The results will be revealed on Thursday, June 14 at The Grand Connaught Rooms, London, United Kingdom. The Storries is celebrating its ninth year of rewarding outstanding products, services and people in the storage industry.
“ATTO has a nearly 25-year history of engineering advanced connectivity solutions for a wide spectrum of data-intensive markets,” said Valerie Wang, product manager at ATTO Technology, Inc. “Our FastFrame 10Gb NIC extends the benefits of 10Gb/s network connectivity to Mac OS® X in data-intensive environments in M&E markets while also providing support for Windows and Linux servers when used in datacenter applications. We are honored to be a connectivity product of the year nominee by Storage Magazine.”
FastFrame NICs are designed for flexibility and engineered for performance. Available in quad-, dual-, and single-port configurations, they include high-quality SFPs and may also be used with Direct Attach Copper cabling. In addition they are compatible with Windows® servers and workstations, Linux, and Mac OS® X platforms and include iSCSI support at no additional cost.
ATTO FastFrameTM NICs are based on Intel chip technology and offer field-proven, industry standard network connectivity available for Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems, making them the most versatile 10Gb/s Ethernet cards available for high-bandwidth I/O connectivity found in markets such as media and entertainment, education and government. In addition, they are engineered for low power consumption, using 1/3 less power than competitive adapters.
“We encourage our customers, resellers and system integrators to log on to www.storage-awards.com and support ATTO before the voting process closes on June 10,” added Wang.
