William Peace University Launches Saturdays@Peace Program to Learn and Earn a Degree on Weekends
Four-Year Baccalaureate University to Hold Affordable Classes on Saturdays as an Option for Students to Obtain a Bachelor’s Degree
Raleigh, NC, May 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that the School of Professional Studies will launch Saturdays@Peace in fall 2012. This new program allows students to attend classes and earn a bachelor’s degree by taking classes on the downtown campus on Saturdays. For a half or full day every Saturday, with just $250 for each credit hour and the ability to transfer up to 90 credit hours, Saturdays@Peace lets students complete their studies in from one to three-and-a-half years. Three degrees will be offered to begin, including: Bachelor of Science in business administration, Bachelor of Arts in psychology and Bachelor of Arts in elementary education or elementary education/dual licensure in special education: general curriculum (K-12). The university plans to add additional degrees through the program in the coming years.
Quotes:
“Saturdays@Peace is another innovative way William Peace University is offering students the chance to obtain a post-secondary school education in a way that fits their schedule,” said Debra M. Townsley, Ph.D. “For people who find it inconvenient to attend night classes during the week, this is a wonderful option they can pursue to complete their degree and increase their potential income. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that on average, professionals with a bachelor’s degree earn approximately 65 percent more per year than their counterparts without a degree, and Saturdays@Peace provides those interested in having a degree a way to achieve this goal without disrupting the bulk of their busy lives.”
