Jackson Walker Honored as a "Top 100 Law Firm in Diversity"
Jackson Walker L.L.P. was recently selected for inclusion in MultiCultural Law magazine’s 2012 “Top 100 Law Firms for Diversity” listing.
Dallas, TX, May 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The “Top 100 Law Firms for Diversity” list was created to recognize firms that advocate for multiculturalism. Annually, MultiCultural Law magazine distributes surveys to law firms across the nation and derives their diversity statistics to later create the highly competitive list.
Jackson Walker was not only named to the publication’s “Top 100 Law Firms for Diversity” list, but also ranked 7th highest law firm in its “Top 25 Law Firms for Hispanic-Americans” rankings.
“We are proud to be recognized for our commitment to diversity,” said Jackson Walker managing partner Wade Cooper. “We believe our culture, which includes a tradition of mutual respect and tolerance, is what sets Jackson Walker apart.”
Made up of both lawyers and staff, Jackson Walker’s Diversity Committee provides advice and recommendations to improve the firm’s diverse workplace. As a result of Jackson Walker’s targeted efforts, nearly 50 percent of the firm’s associates are women, and more than 25 percent are members of ethnic minorities. Furthermore, since 2008, almost 50 percent of the firm’s newly elected partners have been either women or members of ethnic minorities.
