Little Playhouse Kids Carnival to Benefit the Plant City Chapter of Habitat for Humanity
Plant City Habitat for Humanity announces their 1st annual Kids Carnival. Fun, Live Music, Zoo Animals, Professional Games, a Great Day of Family Friendly Fun.
Plant City, FL, June 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Plant City Chapter of Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County is proud to announce their first annual “Kids Carnival”. It will be held at the Plant City Historic Train Depot in McCall Park. This year’s theme is child safety and was inspired by the building of their “Little Playhouse”. The little playhouse was built entirely by volunteers for display in the Christmas and Strawberry Festival Parades to help bring attention to this worthy cause. This cute playhouse will be raffled off at 2:00 on the Carnival Day. Along with being a great day of fun and learning, the carnival is a great way to support your local community. All proceeds directly benefit the Plant City Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
Plant City, June 23, 2007 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In keeping with the child safety theme, The Little Playhouse Kids Carnival welcomes the Plant City Police Department, who will be there with child fingerprinting and crime prevention activities and the Plant City Fire Department who is bringing out a fire engine and will teach fire safety rules. The carnival also features professional carnival games, Jeffery Ewelt, the Animal Ambassador Manager for Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo and some of his animal friends, live music will be provided by Kenny Flint featuring The Rough Diamond Band, face painting, the Humane Society Pet Adoption Unit, and more. There will be food and drinks for sale as well as drawings throughout the day for some great raffle prizes including a generator donated with the upcoming hurricane season in mind, a 10 person day cruise and lots of prizes donated by local vendors.
The Plant City Chapter of Habitat for Humanity is currently building two houses for deserving families in the Plant City area. The success of this carnival will help the Plant City Chapter of Habitat for Humanity to continue on their mission for the rest of the year.
