The travel memoir chronicles a long journey that began after author Benjamin Schkrohowsky became disenchanted with his jobs and corporate America as a whole. Finding it difficult to break away, he finally does, deciding to take a path less trodden. He bids adieu to the corporate world having only a tenuous plan in mind.

After liquidating his belongings and freeing himself from almost all obligations, he sets out with no reservations and no return date with little more than a backpack slung over his shoulder.

The ensuing 15-month journey throughout Latin America, wrapped up in a non-fictional account of unusual events, experiences, and people that become a part of his life, helps him realize and understand more about the world and what matters most.
