Colchester Borough Council Recognised for Delivering Savings Through Website Efficiency
GOSS Interactive congratulates Colchester Borough Council for receiving 3 stars in the Socitm Better Connected 2012 report.

Colchester Borough Council, who have their websites powered by GOSS iCM (intelligent Content Management), were mentioned by the reviewers for their overall clear content, “The content on the site is refreshingly clear of jargon, clear and well presented.”

The reviews highlighted many of the top tasks that Colchester Borough Council provide online: “The job vacancies page is easy to find and the alerts facility is well promoted. I was easily able to download a job page that contained information about leave, flexible working and other benefits of employment. The online form was easy to access and allowed me to save it as long as I had an email address. I didn't have to register to complete the job application.
“I liked the top task approach on the planning landing page, where there was a clear link on the right hand side to 'comment on an application.'
“It was really easy to follow this task through to completion. There's a really useful page about how to comment on an application that lists all the types of issues that can be raised as an objection.
“I really liked the Council Tax landing page, it has good presentation of main Council Tax tasks.
“It was easy to find the rubbish collection day finder using Google or the site search. The landing page promotes it well and it's easy to use. It also explained the changes for Christmas. This facility is really useful,”
