St. Louis, MO, June 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Parents as Teachers has named FAMILY, Inc. as the state office charged with expanding and supporting Parents as Teachers services in Iowa. FAMILY Executive Director Connie Gronstal will serve as Iowa’s new state office leader.
The Parents as Teachers evidence-based home visiting model currently operates in 32 Iowa counties. It also will support the delivery of training and professional development for early childhood professionals in Iowa and oversee quality tracking for those offering Parents as Teachers services.
“We are excited to embark on this new partnership with FAMILY, which has provided Parents as Teachers services since 1991,” noted Scott Hippert, president and chief executive officer of Parents as Teachers. “Parents as Teachers is the most utilized home visiting model in Iowa, so Connie and the team at FAMILY will be integral in supporting our 51 existing affiliates, as well as continuing to grow Parents as Teachers’ presence throughout the state.”
