Join Kathy as she takes us through this grueling journey. The 2012 UMP Summer Nationals "The Hell Tour" is a grueling 29-race event that takes place over 31 days, in 8 states and Kathy Jarvis will be the first women in History to compete. Widely considered the most grueling touring series in all of Motorsports- what would posses a women to partake? Well, Jarvis is not your average blonde haired, blue-eyed Hollywood film and television star.
A Stunt Professional on hundreds of projects since 1994 Jarvis isn’t a stranger to the inevitable chaos of high profile events. As a coordinator, stuntwomen, and stunt double Jarvis has been blown up, thrown off cliffs, and lit on fire. To put it lightly- she clearly isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and isn’t one to fold under pressure. And she can drive.
As a rookie in dirt racing, she was “rookie-of-the-year” and placed 9th in the state of Michigan in a Late Model. The first time a rookie has ever been in the top ten. On the Rally America Series, Jarvis placed second in the nation in class – in her rookie season. She was the first woman to tackle the notoriously grueling Tecate-SCORE Baja 1000 as a solo woman driver in a Protruck. And because of her skills, she was chosen out of 84 women to drive a land- speed rocket car.
Now, she’ll take on the UMP Summer Nationals Hell Tour and RaceTalkRadio.com is letting us join her on this journey. Jarvis is asking fans and investors to become a part of history with her. She is seeking donations and sponsors for the tour and welcoming us all to listen to her radio show.
When asked why she is racing, she said “..It’s about inspiring women, inspiring people, to do things they normally would not.” Jarvis wants to be a positive female role model and show people and kids, you can do whatever you put you mind to- especially if it means making history.
