Volunteers Ride Cross Country for Humanity: “Bisiklet For Haiti”
Baltimore, MD, June 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Clayton Bell, Humanity First USA’s Country Director to Haiti, and occupational therapist Jeanie Zelinkski collectively spent the past 3 and a half years living in Haiti and serving the people in the “Land of the Spirits.” They have now returned home and embarked upon an epic voyage that will change their lives forever: Bisiklet for Haiti 2012.
The five-week tour began on May 19, and Dr. Bell and Zelinkski aim to cover 2500 miles from Little Rock, Arkansas to Acadia National Park in Maine. The purpose of Bisiklet for Haiti 2012 is to raise $75,000 for Humanity First’s ongoing projects in the remote mountainous village of Seguin, Sud-Est, Haiti. By achieving this goal, the Humanity First Primary school with 170 students and the Community Health Workers Program will be able to successfully operate for the next three years.
Humanity First is an international humanitarian relief organization focusing on the areas of disaster response and human development.
