China Based Training Companies Join Forces to Improve Quality
Shanghai, China, June 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- It’s been two years in the making, but finally the ‘Chinese Association of Training & Development Specialists’, or CATDS (pronounced like ‘cats’) is now official. Ten training and development (T&D) companies, including 134 year old Berlitz Corporation and 11 year old ClarkMorgan Corporate Training, have formed the ‘Founding Members’ with the plan of expanding the association to hundreds of T&D providers around China by the end of the year.
Acting Chairperson, Mr. Morry Morgan, who was the driving force behind the creation of CATDS believes that such an association is well overdue.
“I’ve witnessed the training and development industry develop from just a handful of companies to now thousands around China. But at the same time, I’ve also seen a flood of fly-by-night outfits damage the industry through poor service and bankruptcies. CATDS aims to restore the entire reputation of the training and development industry by creating a trustworthy standard for HR professionals,” says Morgan.
CATDS membership is reasonably straightforward. A ten-point code of conduct is listed on the CATDS website, and all members must pay a small fee upon signing the contract. Since members are also spread across Mainland China, video conferences are held four times a year to discuss challenges and goals.
