This attachment allows valet attendants to scan ticket barcodes and vehicle VINs acquiring crucial information of the vehicle within seconds, saving them time and eliminating manual error. This device gives valets all the tools needed to check in and check out vehicles using only an iPod and it works with Automated Valet’s VDES technology for VIN Decoding and VIN Recognition. The iPhone Scanner and Card Reader in conjunction with Automated Valet’s valet apps are also ideal for locations where space is limited. No computers are necessary and, with the Valet POS app, it creates a fully-loaded valet operating system with minimal infrastructure. The Valet POS app enables the iPod to do everything a POS computer could do including enter/exit vehicles and keys, and process cash payments and credit cards through the use of the iPod Laser Barcode Scanner and Credit Card Reader.
Another app set to be showcased is the Valet Jockey app. It has been designed for valet runners and it gives them the ability to enter vehicles into the operating system.
