8th Annual Tee Off for Kids with Cancer
Shining Stars Foundation hosts their 8th annual Tee Off for Kids with Cancer golf tournament. This event helped create a partnership between the foundation and Signazon.com.
Tabernash, CO, June 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Shining Stars Foundation will be hosting their 8th Annual Tee Off for Kids with Cancer golf tournament at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club on June 8th. There are 36 teams of four participating in the tournament, including a team of children that participate in the Shining Stars Foundation. The tournament has been sold out since the middle of May.
This tournament would not be possible without our sponsors and their generous donations. One of our new sponsors is Signazon.com, with whom the foundation has formed a partnership. Signazon has a community support program that works with non-profits, schools, and churches across the country. As part of this new partnership, Signazon has donated a portion of the signage for the tournament. Signazon.com is a nationwide e-commerce sign company that provides high-resolution digital printing for custom signs, such as the sponsor yard signs used at the tournament. Shining Stars Foundation is looking forward to this partnership developing throughout the year, and for years to come.
All the proceeds from the event will benefit the Shining Stars Foundation, a local charity that provides hope to children with cancer and life-threatening diseases. These funds will assist in providing programing for the children involved. The programs are designed to foster new relationships between participants, while giving them challenging and unique experiences. Participants begin to have a growing belief in themselves and their ability to accomplish great things despite their challenges.
The mission of Shining Stars Foundation is to transform lives through year-round recreational and social programs for children, siblings, and parents challenged with pediatric cancer or another life threatening disease. The Foundation has provided services to 2,976 clients last year including children, families, medical support teams, volunteers, and supporters.
