Toyota Dealership Near Tampa Backing Area Nonprofit’s Quest for New Tundra
Sun Toyota, a new and used Toyota dealership serving Tampa, Florida is hoping to help a local charitable organization earn a new Tundra pickup truck as part of Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program. People can vote for the Kids Wish Network on June 14 at 100carsforgood.com
New Port Richey, FL, June 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- On June 14, Kids Wish Network (www.kidswishnetwork.org), a charity committed to helping children, will have the chance to win a new Tundra pickup truck as a finalist in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good competition. Sun Toyota near Tampa is using their resources to help this Holiday, Florida charity realize its vision.
Founded in 1997, Kids Wish Network is an international charitable organization dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children who have experienced life-altering situations. Kids Wish Network grants wished by taking deliveries of donated toys, clothes and other necessities to over 100 local charities and facilities, such as police departments, homeless shelters, advocacy centers and abuse shelters. They operate out of a single office located down the road from Sun Toyota in Holiday, Florida.
Many of these facilities have recently seen a severe decrease in funding and do not have the financial resources to afford their own trucks to pick up donations. When Kids Wish Network offers them "Gift Banks" of toys and necessities, they have to scramble to find a loaner truck, make several trips with a smaller vehicle – something that is becoming more difficult with rising gas prices – or even turn down the donation all together.
Winning the Tundra from the Toyota 100 Cars for Good program on June 14th would enable Kids Wish Network to deliver their "Gift Banks" directly to the doorsteps of over 100 local charities and facilities, stress-free. With Toyota’s assistance and the help of enthusiastic voters, Kids Wish Network will be able to bring even more "miles of smiles" to the children of the Sunshine State.
During the last fiscal year alone, Kids Wish Network’s programs and services helped roughly 103,672 kids who experienced some sort of hardship.
