Omnicom Press Author Suggests Congress Members Duped by Foreign Agitators
Announcing the publication of a new report: As Congress considers legislation to sanction Russia on human rights abuse, author William Dunkerley presents his timely analysis that suggests a foreign plot is afoot to influence U.S. policy.
New Britain, CT, June 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- William Dunkerley, author of The Phony Litvinenko Murder published by Omnicom Press, has produced an analysis of legislation called the "Magnitsky Bill." Foreign Relations Committee chair Rep. Illeana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla) led a voice vote that approved it on June 7.
Dunkerley's analysis suggests the premises of the legislation don't add up. Foreign agitators seeking to destabilize Russia may have tricked the Congress members into the actions they are taking, he says.
The Bill provides for sanctions against Russia over the death of Sergei Magnitsky. He died when he was refused medical treatment while in pre-trial detention on a tax fraud case, the Bill reported.
Dunkerley's report is entitled "Congress Members duped by Foreign Agitators -- Again!." It draws a comparison between the Bill and a 2007 resolution of Ros-Lehtinen's about the Alexander Litvinenko case. News reports had called Litvinenko a former KGB spy murdered on orders of Russian president Vladimir Putin.
In Dunkerley's recent book on that case, however, he describes how the whole murder story was a fabrication perpetrated by a group of foreign agitators. That shows, he says, that Ros-Lehtinen's legislation made a big deal out of nothing.
