Kenneth Walter to Take Part in DreamHome, the Show House at Merchandise Mart

The event unites design professionals from the Chicago area in an attempt to stimulate creativity and come up with unique ideas and designs for various rooms around the home.

Starting on April 13th, the DreamHome event will be held at Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Kenneth Walter, and his associates at the prestigious design firm Gray & Walter, is part of the project and has been appointed to provide a design for the first game room in the history of DreamHome.

The game room designed by Walter features a unique mix of contemporary and rustic styles featuring fantastically innovative wall coverings ranging from salvaged oak, laser cut slate and a textured linen paint treatment offering a dramatic feel. Other items included in Kenneth Walter’s game room include lush custom seating, cushy rug, dramatic lighting, and Gray Malin’s iconic cowboys at Prada Marfa. The game room features three flatscreens to play multiple games, and old school foosball and backgammon tables. The game room, as well as the rest of the DreamHome, can be viewed on the first floor of the world famous Merchandise Mart, in Chicago, through December 7th.
