Dueling Blades' Dual Success Moves Forward with Development
HourBlast Games, the developer of Dueling Blades, reaches its public beta milestones and is actively seeking partners to help deliver its mobile and social action game to its various targeted platforms.
Los Angeles, CA, June 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In May of this year, the public beta of Dueling Blades was released live on both Friendster, and Kongregate, receiving almost 300,000 unique game plays in a matter of weeks, and became the #1 rated game on Friendster. Following the launch, HourBlast Games is moving forward with their long-term development plan for Dueling Blades, which includes multiple platform releases and expansions to the game.
Larry Li, Creative Director of HourBlast Games, states, “The Dueling Blades public beta truly aided our understanding of where it fits in mobile and social networks. We have retained a vast amount of data and feedback to aid our final release for mobile with a firm understanding of how to fuel casual gamers’ competitive desires.”
The team is actively seeking business partners to ensure milestones are met and the maximum potential of Dueling Blades is achieved on both mobile and social platforms. Obscene Interactive, a division of OBJE, signed a letter of intent with HourBlast Games in regards to a potential business agreement. After talks from both parties about the future of Dueling Blades, a deal was not met.
Joseph Cooper, COO of HourBlast Games, commented, “There may be some misinformation floating around on the web. To clarify matters, HBG was in talks with OBJE involving a possible investment deal. However, the deal did not materialize. As of this date, HBG and OBJE are separate, unrelated entities. HBG is actively seeking potential investors and business partners. HBG's primary goal is the development of its current and future titles.”
HourBlast Games is currently preparing for the release of Dueling Blades on iOS and Android platforms, with a projected release in early Q3 of this year.
“After achieving our projected release plan and milestones with the Kongregate and Friendster beta launch, we are confident with the rest of our development plans and will continue to take community feedback to improve the game further,” stated Cooper. “If we achieve a smooth launch for our mobile platforms, the team will be looking at a Facebook release shortly after.”
