Malibu, CA, June 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Year's Finest Facilities Featured in MIX magazine's Class of 2012
Acoustician Carl Yanchar collaborated with studio owner David Levy on the design of this multipurpose studio built in a 1950s ranch on a two-acre estate above Malibu’s Billionaire’s Beach. Almost every Koa wood-paneled room in this complex features natural light and ocean views. With a vintage Trident console, custom TAD monitors, and a large complement of other modern and vintage equipment, Studio Malibu is geared for music recording and sound-for-picture work. One of the studio’s first projects was voiceover work for the TV program Celebrity House Hunters.

About Studio Malibu:
Levy Entertainment Group offers a world class production studio for film and music. Studio Malibu, located in the hills of Malibu, provides privacy and seclusion from the big city and features a spectacular 360 degree view of Malibu's coast and mountains. A team of today's most prominent studio designers, architects, and acousticians in the industry recently designed & constructed the state-of-the-art facility for the ultimate sonic & creative experience. The design bridges the gap between the realm of television/film production and the realm of audio/music production.
Studio Malibu's architect, Carl Yanchar, previously worked with such clients as NBC San Diego, Southwestern College, ABC Disney, Capitol Recording Studios, CBS records, Scotti Bros Music, Signature Sound, Walt Disney TV, and Ocean Way Studios.
The studio's speakers were designed and built by Jerry Steckling, the founder of JSX Audio and former Chief of Acoustic Engineering at Skywalker Sound, a division of Lucas Digital Ltd.
The speakers have previously served such clients as Brian McKnight, Justin Timberlake, TuPac Shakur, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, Eve, Game, Ice Cube, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Boyz II Men, Earth Wind & Fire, Lenny Kravitz, David Foster, Christina Milian, Jamie Foxx, Brandy, LeeAnn Rimes, Britney Spears, Jonny Lang, Kenny G, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Weird Al Yankovic, Aaron Neville, Wayne Brady, Shaquille O'Neal, Jessica Simpson, and Johnny Mathis.
Unlike most sound studios, there are large soundproof glass windows which allow clients to enjoy the sights while recording. The second story studio sits directly above the control room, showcasing spectacular panoramic views of Malibu's coastline and Santa Monica.
Studio Malibu was painstakingly designed and built according to the specifications laid forth by David Levy, founder of Levy Entertainment Group & Levy Music Publishing. Its world-class construction, stunning location, cutting edge equipment, and positive atmosphere all make it the perfect facility to fulfill nearly any production's needs and desires.
