High Heels Poker Tour Won by Greenville, PA, Resident at Presque Isle Downs & Casino
Erie, PA, June 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Robin Fisher of Greenville, PA, won the 1st Presque Isle Downs & Casino High Heels Poker Tournament June 10.
Fisher beat out 32 other ladies to win $1155.00 on the final hand with a Full House; Aces Full of Two’s.
“We’re going on vacation to the Florida Keys,” said an enthusiastic Fisher of her winnings.
Fellow player Kim Morgan, of Painesville, OH, was a winner of a different sort. Morgan was randomly chosen to win a seat at the $1k Ladies Event held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on June 29 during the World Series Of Poker.
“The WSOP is the pinnacle of poker tournaments,” said Christine Stacy, Presque Isle Downs & Casino Poker Manager. “This is a once in a lifetime chance to go to the biggest poker game in the world where the best-of-the-best go to play and possibly walk away with a lot of money.”
The HHPT is the first all women’s poker tour launched on the East Coast.
“We are very happy with the turnout for this tournament,” said Stacy. “It goes to show that poker and women are a popular and fun mix. I think this tournament will be the first of many of its kind here at the casino.”
