New York, NY, June 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Outside Inside presents Arch Oboler’s Night of the Auk at the Sixteenth Annual New York International Fringe Festival. Hugely influential in the world of science fiction, Arch Oboler's underrated and undervalued works have all but fallen into obscurity. Now, Outside Inside resurrects a lost classic of the sci-fi genre.

Originally produced on Broadway by the legendary Kermit Bloomgarden, the first production of this space epic was directed by luminary Sidney Lumet, and starred Christopher Plummer, Claude Rains, and Dick York. More than 50 years after its Broadway premiere, this interstellar adventure returns to New York in a new production directed by Adam Levi, with co-direction by Kaitlyn Samuel. The production stars Outside Inside ensemble members Michael Ross Albert, Lash Dooley, Suzy Kimball, Hannah Timmons, and Brian Rhinehart.

Set aboard an ill-fated spacecraft returning to Earth following the first successful lunar expedition, Night of the Auk is a nail-biting adventure, a cautionary fable, and the most fun you're likely to have in the theatre this summer. Written largely in response to the growing threat of nuclear war, the play has only grown in significance over the last 50-plus years. Presented in a sleek new 75-minute adaptation, Night of the Auk promises to be an unforgettable FringeNYC experience.

Night of the Auk performs at The New York International Fringe Festival. For performance schedule and to purchase tickets, visit www.fringenyc.org or call 866.468.7619.

Outside Inside’s inaugural production was Chagrin by Michael Ross Albert, which was presented in association with HUBO at the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival.

Co-founded by Michael Ross Albert, Adam Levi, and Kaitlyn Samuel (alumni of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University), Outside Inside is dedicated to the independent production of exciting new works for the stage.
