Country Legends to be in Concert at Carolina Crossroads
"Last of the Breed Tour" Coming to North Carolina
Roanoke Rapids, NC, June 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Some of the biggest names in country music will soon be on stage at the Carolina Crossroads Outdoor Amphitheater. EMBARQ will present "The Last of the Breed" tour featuring legendary artists Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Ray Price, Friday August 24. This unique event will include a set list featuring each artist’s hits. “This will certainly be a night to remember at Carolina Crossroads,” said Elizabeth Branham, Carolina Crossroads Entertainment Director.
The legends concert will also be the first Friday night concert event at the new music and entertainment destination off Interstate 95 in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Tickets will go on sale in late June. However, advanced tickets will be available for purchase at the upcoming Trace Adkins concert June 2 at Carolina Crossroads.
Carolina Crossroads plans to continue to add concerts and events to its lineup this year including a gospel and R&B show. “We’re offering something for everyone and hoping families will make Carolina Crossroads a part of their vacation plans this summer and fall,” Branham added.
Partial List of events planned for Summer 2007:
Beach Music Festival – July 7 – Featuring Clarence Carter, Delbert McClinton, The Tams, Embers, Catalinas, and The Craig Woolard Band. The festival will also feature a professional sand art team, building 12-14 ft. sand sculptures.

Gretchen Wilson Concert – September 22 – Country Music Star Gretchen Wilson returns for another party on the Carolina Crossroads’ outdoor stage.
Great American Frontier Show – October 10, 11, & 12 - Three shows, including Wild Animals of America (American black bears, mountain lions, and timber wolves), covered wagons with horses, Texas longhorn, cowboys and cowgirls, and a trick rider. The show also includes a traveling Cowboy Museum and Frontier Saloon.
