Fort Lauderdale's J.E.W for Art J.E.W Media Showcasing Art by Artist/Filmmaker J. Vinazza

Fort Lauderdale, FL, June 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In the upcoming North Beach Art Walk, a new design entity will open its doors for the sake of Art and Hip Hop. South Florida designer Joey Wiener and his company J.E.W Media (his initials ironically reflecting his proud heritage) are set to showcase art by Surreal Urban Artist J.Vinazza.

They met when J.E.W. Media open its doors to the public with a tribute to the late Adam Yauch (MCA, Beastie Boys). The event bought together a small conglomerate of urban artists who painted murals in the back room of J.E.W Media's office space. J. Vinazza was invited to paint live paying tribute with a portrait of MCA in his role for the "Fight for your right." music video. The piece was sold at the end of the evening to a local business man and art advocate, Jody Freeman.

"I have been part of this neighborhood (North Beach) for over 10 years, and since I just obtained my own office space, I finally get to help its art scene. I wanted J to showcase his art because he's hip, he's cool and he's bringing the urban art that is nowhere to be found on NOBE. J.E.W. Media is bringing Street Art To NOBE"

As an artist J.Vinazza has showcased and painted live at numerous art and music events throughout South Florida selling prints and paintings. His series of surrealistic watercolor / ink paintings are often compared to Salvador Dali with an obvious influence of urban street art. ( http://underlabstudios.com/ArtCatalog.pdf ). As a filmmaker he has produced over 10 short films, won 2 competitions, received awards from the 48 Hour Film Project and Women in The Arts. He is also known as co-creator of the now defunct Auteur Explosion at Cinema Paradiso. His films and art can be seen at http://underlabstudios.com/

Born and bred in sunny South Florida, graphic designer, Joseph Weiner cultivated his craft in the hip-hop subculture of graffiti art in his early teens. Designing murals both commissioned and unwelcomed street art, Joseph (Joey) quickly discovered that his knack for visual displays of color and verse made for wide appeal not only with his young peers, but also among business owners.

J.E.W. Media design works has been seen in SoLita Restaurant & Parlor Lounge, Robert Garcia Salon, 944 Magazine, Ritchie Swimwear, TAI Entertainment, Haute in the City Events, TriBeca Medaesthetics as well as their mentor, Southern Wine & Spirits. More can be learned at http://jewdesign.com/

North Beach Art Walk takes place on the first Saturday of each month, from A1A to the Intercoastal on 32nd and 33rd Street, just north of Oakland Park Blvd.
