Pocket Size Diaphragm Pump Safe for Hazardous Areas
Pageboy Series SFD15 Pneumatically Powered Diaphragm Pumps are Rated to a Maximum 3 LPM and are Ideal for Solvents, Light Oils, and Other Low Viscosity Fluids
Hudson, MA, June 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Clark Solutions introduces the Pageboy Series SFD15 Pneumatic Diaphragm Pump. A unique, pocket-sized, air operated diaphragm pump that incorporates a stress-free diaphragm design to give these pumps very high reliability and long life even when pumping strong acids or powerful solvents such as MEK, acetone, chloroform, etc.
Pageboy Series SFD15 Pneumatic Diaphragm Pumps consist of a chamber that is divided into compartments by a diaphragm. One chamber is the pneumatic pressure/vacuum chamber. The other is the pump chamber. Compressed air enters through a venturi which reduces pressure in the pressure/vacuum chamber causing the diaphragm to move away from the pump chamber. This is the suction stroke. The diaphragm pushes the control rod until the poppet valve closes the air exhaust port. As the air pressure rises in the pressure/vacuum chamber the diaphragm is forced into the pump chamber. This is the delivery stroke, during which the diaphragm pulls the control rod off its seat. This allows air through the venturi causing the suction stroke to be repeated.
The diaphragm in Pageboy Series SFD15 Pneumatic Diaphragm Pumps separates the air from the liquid and operates without stress giving these pumps very high reliability when compared with other types of diaphragm pumps. Pageboy Series SFD15 Pneumatic Diaphragm Pumps are self-priming, have a low air consumption rate of 0.5 CFM, and are safe to use in hazardous areas. These pumps are designed for vertical-upward flow and can be mounted using the supplied extended tie-rods.
