Changing It Up at NCC Summer Suppers

Niantic, CT, June 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Good food and fellowship has always attracted people throughout East Lyme and surrounding areas to Summer Suppers at Niantic Community Church. After 46 years serving roast beef, turkey and all the trimmings, this year, organizers are excited about shaking things up a bit.

The first in this scrumptious series will be a Summer Breakfast on Saturday, June 30 from 7:30-10:00 a.m. The menu of eggs, sausage, ham, biscuits, hash browns, fruit salad and a beverage should tempt vendors and visitors alike, heading toward Main Street for the Lion’s art show and lobsterfest. The cost is $8 adults and $4 for children and take-out for this hearty breakfast is easily available.

On Wednesday, July 18th folks can look forward to a Lobstah Stew and Layden Corn Chowder Dinner which will include salad and homemade pie. Seating is continuous from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and tickets will be available in advance at REmax on the Bay, (860)235-0170 or at the Church office. The cost is $20/lobster, $12/corn chowder/$5grilled cheese.

A traditional Roast Beef and Turkey Summer Supper will be offered on Tuesday, August 7 from 5:30-7:30 pm with continuous seating and take-out available. Diners will feast on family style servings of mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, beans, coleslaw and homemade desserts, while being waited on by an abundance of volunteers. Tickets are $9 adults and $4 children 12 and under. No reservations are needed for this five star spread.
