National Boiler Service Announces New Corporate Safety Director
Boiler shutdown specialists add a certified safety expert to streamline and oversee safety protocols.
Trenton, GA, June 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- National Boiler Service, a national contractor specializing in critical services for industrial boilers, has announced the appointment of safety professional Andy Nieto to the office of Corporate Safety Director for their North American operations.
Nieto, a veteran who served as an intelligence specialist in the Navy, brings a solid background of safety experience and training to the job. In addition to having received certification as an arc flash technician, he served as a regional safety director for industrial supply giant Grainger and currently holds certifications as a Construction Health Safety Technician and as an Associate Safety Professional.
“We’re justifiably proud of our safety record,” said David Duplissey, CEO of National Boiler Service. “Andy was brought on board to build on that record by incorporating all the technology tools of the twenty-first century into our safety systems.”
Nieto has already worked with software developers to create a computer program that will track field-hand safety certifications for the thousands of contractors that National Boiler Service employs. He has also created an instant-access database of the wide array of chemicals the company uses, including a material safety data sheet for each. Nieto is currently engaged in the process of updating the firm’s safety manual and has even designed and overseen the construction of a state-of-the-art tornado shelter for the company’s full-time employees.
“My goal is to have a fully trained team of safety personnel,” said Nieto. “Our safety systems already meet or exceed OSHA guidelines, but we set the bar even higher for ourselves.” This company commitment includes adherence to ASME and NBIC safety standards as well as those of OSHA, according to Nieto.
