Carrington Publicity PR Director, Actress/Writer, and Now Pageant First Runner Up
Southwestern Pennsylvania resident places high in annual event celebrating achievements of plus size women.
Pittsburgh, PA, June 17, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Lori Ann Dennick, Carrington Publicity Public Relations Director with additional backgrounds in acting and as a published writer, was named first runner up to 2007 Ms. 16 Plus Mature Tamika Kencowski in the seventeenth annual pageant last weekend.
The pageant seeks to recognize and honor outstanding women over age 40 who are sizes 14 and up across the nation for their leadership, community involvement and individuality. Contestants competed in areas of talent, poise and appearance and were also judged on their response to an on-stage question.
The 45 year old Washington County native, who currently resides in McKeesport, PA, also presented a speech on her chosen platform on the awareness, research and advocacy of sleep apnea, a cause she strongly supports.
No stranger to pageants, Ms. Dennick’s previous accomplishments was being crowned Miss 16 Plus 1995, a sister pageant to Ms. 16 Plus Mature, in addition to 2002 Ms. Plus Internet World and 2002 Miss Pennsylvania Galaxy. She has appeared in several stage and television productions, her current project a small part in the miniseries The Kill Point, which will premiere on Spike TV July 22.
She is also an accomplished columnist and writer, with several prior works appearing in both print and online publications over several years, and has been listed as one of many achievers in Marquis Who’s Who since 1999.
