Tattyoo Collection #1 - Art That Will Stick to You
The Tattyoo brand, a figurehead in ephemeral body art, has weighed anchor with its first collection of temporary art tattoos. Unlike any conventional tattoo dealer, Tattyoo diverts art from galleries to create living exhibitions of original temporary body ornaments. Eleven short-listed artists from all over the globe have created the first fourteen designs, ranging from the cute to the crazy or the bold, that will appeal to young and old alike.

The idea is to give a range of multi-facetted artists carte blanche so that their pent-up fantasies may surface. Spearheading the project is a selection of some favourite artists: Anna Kövecses (Cyprus), Emily Dumas (USA), Ingela P. Arrhenius (Sweden), Jamie Cullen (United Kingdom), Janine Rewell (Finland), Kate Larsen (United Kingdom), Keren Mack (Israel), Leatherette alias Elena Montesinos (Switzerland), Marie Assénat (France), Ned Corbett-Winder (United Kingdom) and Zara Gonzalez Hoang (USA).
Tattyoo’s “Collection #1” paves the way with some colourful, subtle and fanciful art. The Tattyoo tattoos, applied on the skin, will dance and undulate for an evening, a day or a whole week even. They will appeal to creative and open-minded people, eager for original attire. The first collection introduces a series for both adults and children and further collaborations will provide further designs early this summer. In the future, Tattyoo will also introduce limited editions, signed and numbered, designed by recognised visual artists.
