Kayser Automotive Group Acquires Lincoln Franchise
Madison, WI, June 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- June 22nd will mark the return of the storied Lincoln brand to the Kayser Automotive Group family of dealerships. Not since the 1940’s have luxurious new Lincoln’s graced the showroom of a Kayser dealership. It was 1947 to be exact, on the corner of Regent Street and Monroe Street, adjacent to Camp Randall Stadium, that Kayser’s Stadium Garage and Penn Oil station became Madison’ s newest and only Lincoln Mercury dealership.
After 65 years, Kayser Automotive Group will again be Madison’s newest and only Lincoln dealership. The company has successfully completed the purchase of Gordie Boucher Lincoln of Madison and will begin operations today. Kayser will bring the Lincoln brand together with its flagship Ford dealership at 2303 West Beltline Highway, in Madison.
“It’s really a special time for our company. After all this time, to have the opportunity to again become Madison’s Lincoln dealer, marks a significant milestone in our company’s eighty-seven year history. We are very proud to have earned the trust of the many communities we serve and will look forward to renewing on our commitment of fairness and honesty with the establishment of Kayser Ford Lincoln in Madison,” said Patrick J. Baxter, president and CEO of Kayser Automotive Group.
Kayser plans significant improvements to its Ford dealership on the Beltline, to make way for Lincoln, including a new showroom and service facility. Baxter expects those improvements to begin immediately and be completed by the end of the year. Once complete, Kayser Ford Lincoln will become Madison’s only dealership to offer the full line of Ford Motor Company brands.
