Mistress Secrets Explored and Revealed in New Book
Mistress Secrets uncovers a subject that is full of controversy. For too long the mistress has long been regarded as the marriage wrecker and destroyer of family peace & security. Secrets of a Good Mistress chronicles my journey as a woman and good mistress approaching 4 decades.
London, United Kingdom, June 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- First time author Iva T. Louise 's new book, "Secrets of a Good Mistress: One Woman is Not Enough For All," available online now from Create Space, Xlibris Publishing and Amazon.com, is part autobiography and part guide for women who find themselves in the role of "the other woman."
Louise's book details her life from her young age in the Caribbean, to her departure to join her husband in London with her two small children in tow. Having to face the shock of her husband's impotence at age 22 and the breakdown of her marriage, leads her to open up to the conscious choice of becoming a mistress, a role she has played for 40 years.
Louise uses her interest and knowledge of the theories and teachings of Freud, Jung, and Gestalt and also her studies on bereavement and the process of grief, hypnosis, psychosynthesis and other esoteric teachings in her book. She ties this knowledge into her philosophy of the role of the mistress and discusses how her studies helped her to become the woman, the wife and the long-time mistress that she is today.
Using her own life experience as a mistress, Louise's book is a guide for other women in similar situations. She discusses the do’s and don'ts of a good mistress and also offers her insights and understanding to other woman in mistress-type relationships. She hopes her book will help free them from feelings of guilt, sin and shame. Her aim is to address the misconception held about the mistress whose role is to “add” rather than to “take away” from a marriage.
The book speaks about the concept of ownership. "Sometimes it is better to hire or to borrow, but definitely not to own," said Louise. She also speaks about the "Love of soul." "The mistress role is to love and not to fall in love."
Iva T. Louise is a mistress of a 40-year mistress relationship and has written extensively about being a mistress on many websites. She divides her time between New York, London and Jamaica.
