Ascentage Group Awards 3rd Technology Entrepreneur Scholarship

Concord, NH, June 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Business development firm Ascentage Group recently awarded its fourth Technology Entrepreneur Scholarship to Hopkinton High’s Matthias Marklin

The Technology Entrepreneur Scholarship was created by the Concord-based business development firm to encourage enterprising college-bound high school seniors pursuing degrees in business, engineering, technology or the liberal arts. It is awarded annually to a graduating senior from Hopkinton High School.

Terry Bennett, Senior Industry Program Manager at Autodesk, Inc., a California-based high technology company with offices in New Hampshire, presented the award on behalf of Ascentage Group founder R. Drew Ogden. Bennett noted the characteristics the Scholarship Committee seeks in candidates: a self-starting attitude, and a desire for leadership and innovation. Marklin displayed all three, as well as an ability to think outside the box, refusal to back down from a challenge, a notable work ethic, and a willingness to take risk.

With his acceptance of the award, Marklin joins a notable group of entrepreneurial Granite State students honored by Ascentage Group since 2010. Past recipients include Chloe Bohlman, Ian Russell and Noah Booth.
