Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. Hires Mel Whitener as New Marketing Representative for North Carolina

Oak Ridge, TN, June 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. (AUI) has hired a new marketing representative, Mel Whitener, for the North Carolina territory. As a lifelong resident of North Carolina and a current resident of Lincolnton, Mel is familiar with the territory and the independent agent base in the state. Mel has worked as a territory manager for Builders Mutual in North Carolina for 14 years before joining Appalachian Underwriters. Prior to Builders Mutual, Mel worked as an account manager for several retail agencies in the North Carolina area.
