Moore Energy Announces Spike in Orders or Residential Solar Systems Due to PECO Rate Increase
Moore Energy announced today that it is receiving a significant increase in orders for residential solar systems due to PECO's elimination of the residential heating rate discount. Solar energy systems are a sound investment that hedge against such utility price increases.
Southampton, PA, June 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Moore Energy announced today that it is receiving a significant increase in orders for residential solar systems due to PECO's elimination of the residential heating rate discount. Solar energy systems are a sound investment that hedge against such utility price increases.
PECO recently sent letters to all customers that are receiving the residential heating discount informing them that the discount will be eliminated December 31, 2012. According to PECO, the discount was reduced in half January 1, 2012 and will now end on December 31, 2012. The elimination of the discount will cause PECO generation rates for electric heating to double during the winter months for residential customers.
"We have received a number of calls from homeowners concerned about this rate increase who are seeking ways to reduce or eliminate their electric bill with a solar system. Financial incentives from the Federal Government and the State make solar systems even more of an attractive investment," stated Barry Alan Moore, President of Moore Energy.
