Yesterday, Friday, 29 June, lots of VIPs, films industry professionals and press had the opportunity to witness what The NIMBY Experience is. The advanced screening and red carpet event was met with a phenomenal response, hosted by Pick It Up Pictures and by Real Beauty Real Women. It started at 6:45pm for media, the screening commenced at 7:30pm. There was a Q&A segment, followed by a reception with Actor, Luis Guzman, Producer Ed Martin and Director Jacquelyn Aluotto.
“You need to watch The NIMBY Experience to understand the power and real beauty of it. It is life changing”, said Luis Guzman. RBRW Founder, Jacquelyn Aluotto adds, “Our mission is to end abuse, violence, and poverty in America. We make it sexy to give back. Activism is sexy. We educate people through shows. We are socially conscious entertainment.” Lastly the producer, Ed Martin said: “We have a wonderful team working together to make a difference.”

Veteran actor Luis Guzman is a Puerto Rican-born American actor, who is known for his character work. Guzman has been in over a 100 films. His most famous movies are Carlitos Way, The Count of Monte Cristo, and star of the hit HBO series How To Make It In America. He is an activist and spokesperson for Not In My Back Yard and for the NIMBY Experience. Luis hopes to use his fame to make a difference in the world.
