Accor Announces Expansion in Vietnam and Debuts ibis
Accor adds 3 hotels to its pipeline and presents its first economy brand hotel in Vietnam – ibis Saigon South

Accor, the largest operator of hotels in Asia-Pacific, reinforces its leadership in the hospitality industry in Vietnam by announcing three new development hotels to its committed pipeline that will see 16 new hotels opened by 2015, Today Accor operates 13 hotels in the country. The announcement comes as Accor opens its first economy hotel in Vietnam, with ibis Saigon South rounding out the Group’s portfolio, which now ranges from luxury to economy.

Accor unveils the ibis brand
Today Accor presents the first ibis hotel in the country, ibis Saigon South, as the first international-quality economy hotel in Vietnam. This addition marks a major milestone for Accor in Vietnam as it now offers a comprehensive range of hotel brands, including the luxury Sofitel, upscale MGallery, midscale Novotel and Mercure, and economy ibis.

Ibis Saigon South has 160 comfortable, well-designed, and fully equipped guest rooms which provide a wide range of amenities, including flat screen televisions and WiFi internet access. The room’s layout reinforces the practicality of space and comfort. The hotel also offers 24-hour services, quality food and beverages at the OOPEN Restaurant, and a funky bar on the ground floor for guests who want to relax and enjoy a selection of drinks.
Continuation of expansion
Accor has signed three additional hotels in Danang to further expand its network in Vietnam:
Pullman Danang Beach Resort is a rebranded 186-room hotel located on Danang Beach with facilities that include four food and beverage outlets, a swimming pool and a variety of meeting/conference rooms.
Ba Na Hills, Member of the MGallery Collection, will be a newly built 90-room upscale hotel located in a French-inspired village atop and amongst the scenic Truong Son Mountains. Located in the same proximity will be Mercure Danang French Village Ba Na Hills, a 372-room hotel also with old-world, French touches in its décor and architecture.
With a total of 16 development commitments Accor will add another 4,047 guest rooms to its Vietnam hotel network. Development commitments include:
