ImageSite is a comprehensive yet affordable document management solution. It’s web-based software that’s licensed like traditional software (installed in-house) or sold in a Cloud version (Software as a Service - SaaS).
ImageSite’s new Document Lifecycle subsystem supports corporate compliance with government and industry document retention regulations. More than that, ImageSite’s Document Lifecycle combines with ImageSite Workflow to provide advanced automation such as Contract Management, Invoice Payment Processing and other business automation tasks.
Documents are automatically categorized to a specific lifecycle based on a combination of criteria such as each document’s metadata (index data), file extension and parent folder. Documents tentatively categorized to retention plans can be reviewed by administrative users prior to being committed to a specific plan. Once assigned to retention plans, actions are performed automatically to documents by the lifecycle subsystem.
Documents in a Lifecycle progress through a series of Lifecycle States over their lifespan from the initial creation to final disposition. The Lifecycle subsystem automatically performs actions to documents as they move from one Lifecycle State to another. These actions involve things like the document’s security settings, check-out availability, approval status, version value, archival, and deletion. Documents scheduled for disposition can be periodically reviewed prior to deletion or archival by administrative users or document disposition can be processed automatically.
