Provo Business Leader Finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year
Provo, UT, July 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Frank Davis, CEO of Food for Health International, a Provo-based company, is being recognized by Ernst and Young as a finalist for its Regional Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Each year, Ernst and Young searches the country in an effort to recognize the best business leaders who are fueling the world economy with “the vision and innovation of entrepreneurial business.” This year, Davis is being recognized in the Utah Region for the growth and pioneering spirit of Food for Health (FFH).
Following Davis’ leadership and unique ability to recognize untapped opportunities, FFH has expanded aggressively during the economic downturn, creating significant job growth in both Utah and Salt Lake counties. FFH has experienced almost 2,000 percent growth, with assets increasing 425 percent and manpower 500 percent since 2008.
Davis’ vision for FFH is focused on health and emergency preparedness. “Our goal is to shift the way people think about food, nutrition and emergency preparedness,” said Davis. “Food for Health offers products that are easier to use and provide higher nutritional value. It’s that simple.”
FFH product lines include
- Activz LLC–whole-food dietary supplements and nutraceuticals.
- Food Supply Depot–healthy, quick-prep means for food storage.
- InstaFire–the first wind- and water-resistant fuel and fire starter.
- Humless–a renewable power source that is safe, silent and portable.
- PowderPure–patented technology that dries powders while retaining the nutrition and flavor of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Davis has a long entrepreneurial history. He founded many large Utah corporations, including Borges Lamont (Overstock.com forerunner), NuSkin’s “Nourish the Children,” and the KSL Classifieds.
