Solar Café Introduces Street Brew at the Dinin’ Hall

Columbus, OH, June 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Solar Café is proud to introduce Street Brew, a mobile coffee trike serving the streets of Columbus, Ohio. Solar Café’s Street Brew trikes will be serving complimentary cups of coffee at the Dinin’ Hall on Saturday June 30th, 2012 for the special “Breakfast with Nick” event featuring local food blogger, Nick Dekker. The Dinin‘ Hall will be featuring food trucks with special breakfast menus from Ajumama, Sophie’s Perogies, and Spinelli’s Deli. This will be the first public event for Solar Café and the unveiling of the Street Brew prototype.

Solar Café is bringing Solar Roast Coffee, a unique brand of artisanal sun roasted coffee from Pueblo, Colorado, to the midwest. Solar Roast Coffee uses a patented solar collector to concentrate sunlight for the roasting of 18 varieties of coffee and espresso. Solar Roast coffee is the only coffee roasted with the power of the sun, producing a purely roasted bean with less environmental impact.

Solar Café President Blair Gordan said, “Because the roasting process does not force the beans to roast too quickly, it allows the true flavor to come out in the brewed coffee we serve. If you have ever thought your coffee tastes burnt, it is because many coffee roasters force the beans to roast, giving it that burnt taste.

Regarding the Street Brew launch, CEO Thomas Herlihy said, “Street Brew allows us to start serving Solar Roast coffee in the community while we are finishing development of our Hilliard location. The Dinin’ Hall is a great venue for us to introduce our first coffee trike.”

The Dinin‘ Hall will be open from 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, June 30th, 2012.
