Braxton County, WV Selects EmergiTech, Inc. for New 911 and Computer Aided Dispatch System

Flatwoods, WV, July 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- EmergiTech, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a contract to provide 9-1-1 and Computer Aided Dispatch for Braxton County 9-1-1.

“Their timing was perfect for this project,” said Michael Warren, Director of Sales of EmergiTech, Inc. “The County was looking to move to their new 9-1-1 Center in Flatwoods from their current location in downtown Sutton. At the same time, they knew they needed to upgrade their aging 9-1-1 system to an IP based system that would get them ready for NG911 compliance. The County was very smart and patient in their approach. They wanted to find an affordable solution, yet one that met their needs now and in the future.”

In addition to the 9-11 enhancements, with the new Computer Aided Dispatch system, Braxton County residents will be able to have more critical information entered into the system that dispatchers relay to responding agencies.

“For example, our dispatchers will have to ability to know if a resident has had a previous medical history and other alerts to share with responding units,” said Mike Baker, Braxton County 911 Director. “We are able to know more information about what is going on in the County. We can provide the most accurate information to our police, fire, and EMS departments in Braxton County. This will help them better serve the citizens of Braxton County and also help protect them as they do their jobs as well."

The County plans to go on-line with the new System this summer. “We plan on providing forms that are available for the public if there is information they wish to share with us to have on-file in the new system such as medical conditions and other alerts for our residents,” added Mike Baker.
