Car Show to Benefit the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Industry Station's Youth Activities League (YAL) Program
City of Industry, CA, July 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Haddick's Auto Body & Towing will be holding their second Annual Charity Hot Rod & Car Show at their seven acre facility in the City of Industry.
The July 14th car show, held in conjunction with the City of Industry, City of La Puente and with the support of local businesses and corporate sponsors, will offer food and games for children and adults, live bands and is geared to be a community event that appeals to all ages. The event is to benefit the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Industry Station's Youth Activities League (YAL) program. http://www.industryyal.org/
Haddick's first annual car show, held last summer, displayed 151 cars, attracted 5,000 attendees, and raised over $12,500 for the YAL program.
The YAL program supports at risk youth in the area with after school sports and activities at no cost to the kids or their parents. The L.A. County Deputies that are involved in this program are dedicated to mentor and teach the areas kids through involving them with other kids in regular stick and ball sports but also group activities including scuba diving and archery and weekend camps at a dedicated facility that is owned and maintained by the City of Industry for the benefit of these youths and the Boy Scouts.
Haddick's Auto Body & Towing is a third generation family owned business established in 1928 and has always been active in the community. Owner Howard Welch is one of the founders of the YAL, and a past president. His daughters Laurie Marshall, who still sits on the YAL board, and Bonnie Welch, are continually helping and supporting the community through such programs.
