The Margaret River Gourmet Escape to Feature UK Celebrity Chef Heston Blumenthal

Tourism Minister Kim Hames recently announced that UK celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal will headline the four-day premium wine and food event in the Margaret River wine region. “It is my great pleasure to announce that the first major signing for Gourmet Escape is Heston Blumenthal, the owner of the famous Fat Duck restaurant in the UK and the new restaurant Dinner By Heston Blumenthal, recently rated one of the 10 best restaurants in the world in San Pellegrino’s annual list of the best,” Mr. Hames said.

Mr. Blumenthal is well-known around the world for innovation, creativity and excellence. He is an ideal match for the Margaret River region, which offers some of the premium produce and greatest wines in Australia.

Taking place between November 22nd - 25th, the Margaret River Gourmet Escape is a great opportunity for Western Australia to showcase its produce to the world. The renowned chefs and celebrities participating in the festival will be part of a range of regional wine and food events.
