RE/MAX Northern Illinois Real Estate Network Presents Multiple Honors to RE/MAX Suburban
Chicago, IL, July 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- RE/MAX Suburban, which operates seven brokerage offices located in Arlington Heights, Glen Ellyn, Libertyville, Mt. Prospect, Schaumburg and Wheaton, Ill., recently earned multiple honors from the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network for its outstanding performance in 2011.
The RE/MAX Suburban ownership team of Bob Baker, Jim Nelson, Sr., and Jim Nelson, Jr., received the Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes loyal and dedicated service to the RE/MAX system and to the objectives of providing quality service and continued growth while retaining the affiliation of current RE/MAX agents.
Baker and the Nelsons were saluted for their roles as pioneers in the RE/MAX system, founding one of the first RE/MAX offices in Illinois and then building the largest office network in the Northern Illinois region. Even as the real estate industry went through a major restructuring in the wake of the recent economic slump, RE/MAX Suburban stayed strong. It maintained an outstanding record of agent retention and kept all of its offices operating at full throttle.
Once again this year, RE/MAX Suburban was the leading RE/MAX firm in Northern Illinois and one of the top brokerages in the nation in the annual REAL Trends 500 and Power Broker Report rankings of residential brokerage firms.
Those achievements help explain why RE/MAX Suburban also was recognized as the RE/MAX Northern Illinois network’s leading multi-office company for 2011, both in terms of real estate transactions closed and the total sales volume that those transactions represented.
RE/MAX Suburban also was named the network’s top fundraiser for Children’s Memorial Hospital (now Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago), with Jim Nelson, Jr., accepting the award on behalf of his partners and the more than 200 agents affiliated with the brokerage’s seven offices.
In addition, RE/MAX Suburban affiliates also captured individual honors:
Cheryl Shurtz of the Wheaton office was named Manager of the Year;
Christine Lempa of the Schaumburg office won the Rising Star Award;
Cindy Purdom of the Glen Ellyn office was saluted for earning the year’s largest single residential commission;
Four RE/MAX Suburban agents were named to the annual RE/MAX Northern Illinois Top 20, which honors the leading sales producers among agents and teams in the region.
The honors were conferred at the RE/MAX Northern Illinois network’s 35th annual awards ceremony, which annually recognizes RE/MAX Northern Illinois affiliates who achieve outstanding results in the areas of sales, service, philanthropy and technology.
