A couple of college student entrepreneurs have invented a flavor neutral energy powder product that can turn any drink into an energy drink without effecting its taste, texture or health benefits. They are now seeking funding to take the product to mass market.

Kyk ("Kick") Energy is a flavor neutral energy powder that turns any drink into an energy drink without affecting its taste, texture or health benefits. It was created by two 19 year old college student entrepreneurs from Purdue University, Chris and Andrew. The idea sprung from their needs as exhausted college students. They struggled to maintain their lifestyle on food and sleep alone. Constantly tired with not enough time in the day, they began to look for a solution. Energy products on the market just wouldn’t cut it. They all tasted the same, were too expensive and required multiple servings to have any effect. Hence, the vision for Kyk Energy was born, an energy additive that allows people to enjoy their favorite drinks as energy drinks.
After coming up with the idea as freshman in their dorm room, they began working to make their dream a reality. After a year of research and development they perfected the formula for Kyk Energy. It is a patent pending combination of caffeine, vitamins, amino acids, and natural herbs that mixes seamlessly in any beverage.
In order to turn their invention into a product, the two 19 year olds needed capital. They raised $50,000 in seed financing. They coordinated manufacturing, partnered with retailers and released the product in February 2012. Since then, Chris and Andrew’s lives as part time students and full time entrepreneurs have been wild and full of adventure. They have crushed sale projections, appeared on live TV, sponsored large events and even met some up and coming celebrities.
