About Mary Kathryn Schoneck-Rachuy
Ms. Schoneck-Rachuy has over 25 years experience in the healthcare field. She is the Director of Nursing at Hayes Residence, a long term nursing facility in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She oversees all nursing functions. Ms. Schoneck-Rachuy serves as the Charge Nurse responsible for nurse education. Her nursing career includes having worked as a volunteer nursing assistant, trained medication aide, station secretary, LPN, EMT and RN. She specialized in long term, acute and hospice care. As a College Instructor, she teaches medical terminology, a medical assistant course and nurse assistant aide courses at Minnesota West. Ms. Schoneck-Rachuy is affiliated with the Minnesota Nurses Association. She received a Silver Award in 2010 and a Bronze Award in 2009 for Quality Care and Services from the A.H.C.A., a DNS Leadership Award in 2010 and was found Deficiency-free, Annual MDH Survey 2011. Ms. Schoneck-Rachuy obtained a B.S.N. from Presentation College in 2006, accomplishing it in less than 3 years. She also obtained a Public Health Certification and Home Care Manager Certification. Ms. Schoneck-Rachuy has written several articles about fall prevention, Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia, infection control, diabetes, brain attack and memory loss and the brain. In her spare time she enjoys quarter mile drag racing.
