Lean Healthcare West Announces Lean Facility Design Conference
Lean Healthcare West, an industry leader in applying Lean principles to the healthcare industry, announces today that the focus of their 8th Annual Lean Leadership Retreat will be the unique challenges of Lean Facility Design.
Missoula, MT, July 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Lean Leadership retreat is designed to address Lean implementation opportunities and challenges featuring presentations on practical experiences, research and new applications. Join them for 3 days of lively and challenging discussions with Lean leaders who will share their fascinating research, experience and insights related to healthcare innovation.
This year's featured topic is the unique challenges and opportunities of Lean for Facility Design. In addition to the Lean leaders presentations and case studies, one day will feature speakers from the architectural and design firms plus healthcare leaders that have successfully integrated Lean into a recent new construction project.
New this year, Lean Healthcare West is offering optional individual coaching sessions. Organizations or individuals can sign up for a private coaching session with a seasoned Lean Healthcare West instructor to discuss their Lean implementation efforts.
The 8th Annual Lean Leadership Retreat will also feature an optional Introduction to Lean session the evening of Sunday, September 23 at no additional cost. The objective of this session is to prepare participants who are new-to-Lean so that they may benefit fully from the subsequent conference presentations. All participants are welcome to attend this Lean overview.
At the closing of the conference we will recognize one organization for its exemplary work improving healthcare through an internal Lean culture. If your organization has achieved remarkable improvements with Lean then enter it now for the 2012 Art of Innovation Award!

Lean Healthcare West (LHW) was founded in 1999 by Cindy Jimmerson as an extension of a National Science Foundation grant.. LHW has worked with over 117 organizations globally in its goal to improve the delivery of healthcare through Lean thinking.
