Solekai Systems to Launch Independent Test Lab
Solekai's state-of-the-art facility will be the Cable TV industry’s first independent, multi-vendor development test lab.
San Diego, CA, June 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Solekai Systems, the world’s largest independent engineering services company specializing in digital video product design, implementation and testing, today announced the final preparations for the launch of its Independent Test Lab (ITL). The Solekai ITL will be housed at the company’s engineering center in Boulder, Colo.
The 7,000 square foot facility will feature 22 lab benches and 13 private lab spaces, including access to state-of-the-art headend equipment from Motorola and Scientific Atlanta as well as a full array of associated test equipment. “Our goal is to provide the ideal venue for our customers to develop their products and services,” said Martin Caniff, president of Solekai Systems. “This facility represents the Cable TV industry’s first testing facility that is truly independent and committed solely to innovation. By “independent,” we mean that Solekai has no specific, entrenched alliances with any products or companies. This puts us in the unique position of being an enabler for innovation and progress in the industry. And while we will help our customers prepare for and move towards product certification, the Solekai ITL will not be a certification lab. What really motivates us is the untapped opportunity that this facility presents for Solekai to work with our customers to meet their near-term product challenges as well as their long-term innovation goals.”
Solekai has designed its ITL specifically to support customers’ digital video system development from start to finish. “From architecture design to middleware porting, CA integration, UI implementation and system validation – we have the equipment and the expertise that our customers will require every step of the way,” said Ken Furie, general manager of Solekai’s Colorado facility. “Our engineering staff is ready to provide support to our customers from setup configuration and equipment troubleshooting, to test execution.”
Solekai’s ITL is scheduled to open in Summer 2007. Solekai is currently negotiating lab bench and space rates with a number of potential customers. “The lab will be run with the same commitment to extraordinary service that Solekai is known for in all of our client engagements,” said Caniff. “Our reputation for delivering the highest value through competitive pricing and solid engineering will carry through to our lab operations. As always, customer satisfaction will be our top priority.”
