Dr. Rivero is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons, An Active Member of the Federación Latinoamericana de Cirugía and the International Society of Surgery Member Founding of the Colegio Guerrerense de Cirujanos, he is also an Honorable Member of the Asociación Mexicana de Gerontología y Geriatría. He was President of the Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía General, AC, in 2001-2002; and President of the Federación Médica del Estado de Guerrero, AC, in 1998-2000.
