The 8th Annual Kids Foundation Golf Classic Will Take Place on August 13th
Classic Rock Station Q104 co-sponsors the 8th Annual Kids Foundation Golf Classic: In honor of Wachovia's Robert Verrone. Join them August 13, 2007 at the Exclusive Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York. The worlds of advertising, radio, real estate, and entertainment join forces in support of Autism.
Englewood Cliffs, NJ, June 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- On Monday, August 13, 2007, executives from the sectors of radio, advertising, finance, music, sports, real estate, and entertainment will join together in support of providing programs for children with autism and developmental disabilities. This year’s Eighth Annual Kids Foundation Golf Classic is co-sponsored by classic rock station Q104 at the Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York. This event has been previously attended by: Gilbert Gottfried, The NY Knicks City Dancers, The Characters, the Smithereens, Southside Johnny, Dicky Betts and Gary US Bonds and Michael McDonald. This year's event is in honor of Distinguished Wachovia Managing Director, Robert Verrone. Verrone is responsible for overall management of Wachovia’s Real Estate Capital Markets-Americas Group along with running Wachovia’s Commercial mortgage loan origination activity in the US and Americas. He currently resides in New Jersey with his wife Sara and their twin boys Matthew and Daniel and second set of twins Annie and Joseph. He is an active fundraiser for Moravian College, Don Bosco Preparatory High School and The Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation.
Started by Cresskill resident Matt Ross eight years ago, The Kids Foundation has proven over the years its dedication to a truly worthy cause. Each year, the Golf Classic brings together many different worlds in an effort to make a difference. Research has said that 1 in 150 people are affected by autism, and the numbers are increasing. The Kids Foundation has also helped in the creation of Columbia University’s Development Neuropsychiatry Center. The Kids Foundation is vital to local charities and 50 other tri-state organizations. The Kids Foundation raised over $2 million dollars since its inception in 1999. With the help of generous donors, the charity will continue to grow to help children who affected by autism and other developmental challenges.
