Movers Specialty Service, Inc. Completes Crating Project for Laran Bronze and the United States Air Force
MSS Commercial Crating Division completes project for long-time client.
Montgomeryville, PA, July 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Movers Specialty Service, Inc. (MSS) Commercial Crating division recently completed a project for long-time client, Laran Bronze. MSS was asked to crate seven sets of bronze Honor Guard statues for the United States Air Force Memorial.
Laran Bronze is a foundry located in Chester, PA and is renowned for their expertise and artistry in fabricating bronze pieces using a century-old process called Lost Wax Casting. The concept development of the Air Force Memorial endured over 15 years and went through numerous changes along the way. There was a relatively small group of people who believed this branch of our military deserved its own Memorial, and struggled for its development and completion in October of 2006. One of the major contributors was H. Ross Perot Jr. Mr. Perot was the chairmen of the Air Force Memorial Board of Trustees, whose job it was to oversee the construction of this unique Memorial and commissioned four sets of life-size Honor Guards for various locations around the United States.
Allen Ward of Laran Bronze said, “A sculptural piece of this size, poses somewhat of a problem when it comes to shipping and protection of works that weigh as much as 250 lbs. and is awkward because the flags the Guards are carrying are very top-heavy. We contacted Movers Specialty Service, Inc. knowing because of the professional, knowledgeable and friendly service we had experienced in past projects that we could rely on the security and quality of the product that MSS would provide our important and demanding clientele.”
