Now You Can Own the House Built for Donald Trump
New York, NY, July 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- World-renowned artist Cimon has made available for purchase the sculpture titled The Trump House, which is a piece originally commissioned as a gift for Donald Trump®.
How would Donald Trump redecorate the White House if he had run for the presidency, and won? That is the question Cimon asked when he was approached last year by a client who wanted to give Trump a sculpture to encourage the Donald to run for the White House.
The commission was subsequently pulled when the Donald decided in 2011 not to pursue the nomination. Cimon, however, loved the concept so much that he decided to complete The Trump House project.
Cimon was inspired in part by the style of the over-the-top casinos and residential buildings with their shimmer and glitz that is commonly associated with the Donald. Like many of Cimon’s other works, The Trump House speaks to viewers on different levels. The piece is a vision of the White House, completely covered with beautiful Swarovski® crystals in the language common with luxury goods. The sculpture, however, also speaks to the perception of the power and majesty of the Presidency and references the hundreds of millions of dollars spent by billionaires, corporations and in elections today. The sculpture took over 100 hours to complete.
The Trump House started as a LEGO® set of the White House that underwent Cimon’s creative and transformational process to become the one-of-a-kind art object. It measures 9 inches (23 cm) wide by 6 inches (15 cm) long and 4 inches (10 cm) tall and includes hundreds of crystals.
