Raleigh, NC, July 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that Kenia Thompson has joined the university as telemarketing program coordinator in its admissions and recruitment office. In her position, she will be responsible for recruiting prospective first-year, transfer, evening and re-admit students by phone, email and other electronic communication, and will oversee the follow-up of interested candidates in attending the university. She will interact with diverse groups of students, parents, guidance counselors, as well as with all staff and faculty, as part of her duties. Graduating in 2006, Thompson previously worked at several local news stations and the public relations and marketing offices for area companies.
Quotes:
“It is an honor to return to my alma mater and give back to a school that provided me with an excellent education,” said Thompson. “I know what prospective students want in their post-secondary studies, and I believe that William Peace University is the right choice for a number of career opportunities, thanks in part to its expanded classes and subjects. I look forward to providing prospective students with the guidance and insight needed in learning more about our university and what we have available for them to enjoy.”
“Our telemarketing program coordinator position requires someone who is interested in generating excitement and believes in the opportunities that exist at our university, and that is certainly true about Kenia and her support for us following her graduation,” said Debra M. Townsley, Ph.D., president of William Peace University. “Kenia possesses the creative and motivated skills to communicate effectively about William Peace University to prospective students, and I am sure she will offer those interested individuals the best service possible in learning more about our programs.”
