The process of signing the contract was quite an athletic achievement for seca. Starting with a product demonstration for the martial arts management team and other officials from the Olympic Organization, the seca 360 wireless technology set the bar for elite measuring and weighing. Impressed by the new level of technology, decision makers granted seca as the official scale supplier for the Olympic Summer Games 2012.
The seca 703 wireless column scale will be used with the seca 465 wireless printer primarily for martial arts such as boxing, judo, taekwondo and wrestling. The seca devices will verify the athlete’s weight before their matches, in order to determine their weight classes. The print-out from the seca 465 printer will conveniently document each athlete’s results for referee officials. The seca 634 flat scale with mobile display was selected for the weightlifting events. With a high capacity of 800 lbs, the scale has no problem weighing super-heavy athletes, whose weights start at 230 lbs.
